the vagaries of the french language are as rich and diverse as those in english except 'oop north of course where people like me haven't a clue what you lot are all on about - for example, why is there no 'H' used in Yorkshire ? ie 'Ull,'Alifax & 'Unslet etc ?

Because Yorkshire folk like to get straight to the point, and any unnecessary letters are discarded in speech to save time.

ok,think I get the drift,tho' I can't see a 25 letter alphabet ever catching on in the rest of the english speaking world... :THINK:

We still use aitches in Yorkshire tha noz.
Otherwise if we were tellin' t'whippet to sit and the young pup thought we were droppin the aitch ... it could get quite messy.
