A bit of advice please. We are planning on bringing several large flags to hang & wave when we play our friendly at your place. What part of the ground would be most suitable for us? Looking at a picture of your ground the uncovered terraced areas either side of the main stand look most appropriate. The flags are large so we can't fit them under a covered area. What are your stewards like? Easy going?
I reckon the best place for flages would probably be behind the sticks at the Willie Horne Way end (to the right looking from the Grandstand). The roof at that end has just been removed, so flags would be visible if put up on the wall at the back of that stand. I don't think the stewards would have a problem with that, so long as the club hasn't used the space for advertising.

How many Wigan fans do you think will be making the trip ??
It should pull in a decent crowd - although not the 7,000-8,000 that watched the CC match last year at Craven Park. It's Brett McDermott's testimonial match. A Barrovian but great servant to all 3 Cumbrian RL clubs.

Difficult to say really given the distance involved for a friendly and the fact it's meant to be the bulk of reserve side that's making the trip. Between 750 and 1000 I reckon.
We took over 2000 to Leigh last year for a friendly knowing that it was our full under 21's side but that was only 7 miles down the road!
