The link you provide for November 16, 2009 states....... "......we’ve already sold more than 700 passes to people who’ve not bought one before. The Rovers membership is above 5000, although has reached a plateau slightly the last few weeks......"
I fail to see a figure of 5500 mentioned, (is this just a figure of your overworked imagination?) so there is no reason to imply the original post statement of "up on this time last year" is anything but correct.
...unless of course you can delve into your extensive archive and "PROVE" otherwise....
Original post states..as reported on RH sports news at 8 am on Dec 8th...

You're missing the point.
1) In November 2008 sales were over 6000. 2)In November 2009 the direct quote from Hudgell was "Figures for season pass sales are comparable with last year at this stage give or take a few." 3)In December 2010, with a couple of extra weeks of sales under their belt, we're now told that sales are 5500 and that is up on the same time last year.
So the possible scenarios are as follows: Statements 1 and 3 are correct, and statement 2 is false, and sales in November 2009 were actually below 5500, so when Hudgell said "are comparable with last year at this stage give or take a few", he actually meant " are down at least 500". Statements 1 and 2 are correct and the statement 3,that sales are up on the same time last year at 5500, is incorrect Statement 1 was incorrect and sales have never been over 6000 in November.

If us HKR fans would like to take what the chairman says as good news then why try and put HKR down at every opportunity? No offence meant by this but you just baffle me sometimes.
Are you a closet KR fan?
Just trying to keep you all honest, since when was independent scrutiny outlawed? Look, without me this board, with the exception of the luscious Mr Dog and pmh (although I'm a bit peeved that he has a favourite that's not me, but I think he's just trying to get me to work harder) is just rather dull self-congratulation. Every board needs a pantomime villain, particularly at this time of year. Besides, your chairman seems to enjoy putting FC down. Nowt wrong with some reciprocation.

Yeah but you're not a pantomime villain because you actually are a huge Rovers fan, that's my new theory.
Oh, and you're talking bollox about the pass sales by the way.
"The Mail understands..." NOTHING!

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
