However, it does sound an interesting idea, AFAIK Retro Rugby (Octopus) did well with the Hanson White replica.
Couple things:
1. Do you know any good local people who can still crests onto shirts?
2. As part of the design, could you put a few stripes on both sleeves, say 3 maybe? (all in a straight line and of equal width would probably look good I guess).
O'Neills can, they own the three stripes and let Adidas use them for a fee every year. If you look at their gaelic stuff it has three stripes on. I could maybe arrange for the jerseys to be brought over from Ireland but not sold in this Country to stop Adidas crying
How about this stock shirt for just £19.99? It is a lot better than the effort you lot have to wear this year

Maybe they should get a decent retail manager and some staff who know the industry then pal, it kinda helps if you have a clue about what clothing sells and what doesn't.
You could be the man for the job, you have an eye for the merchandise

Oh yeah remember you saying about O'Neills and adidas.
Lol, just not good enough, never really been in the Hull or City shops for owt, but they have to be a lot better then ours. Everything usually requires at least two trips there, f*****g joke.

That side of Rovers buisness has always being shocking. With us being in the SL for as long as we have you'd actually think it would have improved they need a dedicated retail manager who can concentrate soley on merchandising and sourcing products that will actually sell. Just having a retro shirt for sale would sell and make money but Rovers can't or don't even want to do that.

Agree 100% mate, they must have missed out on so many opportunities the last few years. Hull have got a long-sleeved cotton shirt coming in which I have to say as an RL shirt looks absolutely fantastic. £50 a go, but watch them sell like hot cakes.
when I heard we were opening a shop down Hold Road (back in about 2004 now wasn't it?) I imagined having a browse in there all the time, like you do in DW or SportsDirect. Have to say though I only ever go in when I really need something, totally frustrating experience most of the time.

TBH, you would think that it is a fairly simple thing to fix as well. Both Hull clubs have lots of fans that want to buy things, but sometimes the stuff on offer is substandard. I think FC have raised the bar but only really in the last 3 seasons or so. SOme decent stuff nowadays at FC, and maybe it is a Kooga thing? Not sure what the rules and deals are. I know FC have all the ISC stuff, which IMO is good quality. but we also have the retro lines and other off the cuff things. Can rovers not do similar? Do you have a Mason t shirt for example? (and that is not actually a dig!)

You dont have to just sell Kooga stuff. Hull sell other brand but get them to leave the labels out. They might even leave them in, I have never looked in that much detail but one of my main suppliers make stuff for Hull and they aint ISC.
It is lazy retailing on KR's part. There are tons of nice items out there that brands and suppliers would quite glady badge up for them, however it seems they are happy to put a logo on a fruit of the loom t-shirt and make 300% profit on it.
I expect it will all change though now they have Big Willie's name to milk the pound out of
