Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. MARK Calderwood fears being left on the scrapheap for Super League XVI.
The 29-year-old was released by Hull at the end of the season following a disappointing campaign in which he played a mere four games for the Black and Whites.
Surplus to requirements at the KC Stadium, he was cast into the wilderness by FC coach Richard Agar and is yet to find a new home to ply his trade in 2011.
And with most top-flight teams already having their squad players in place for the new campaign, the winger fears the worst.
He said: "I haven't got a clue where I'll be playing next season to be honest.
"I'm meeting my agent who's been in Australia on tour with the England team, but time's getting on now.
"I wanted something to be sorted out earlier but maybe clubs have spent their money.
"I'm still hopeful that something can be sorted out but I haven't a clue what it might be. I'll play anywhere.
"I still want to play in Super League but if nothing comes up I'll have to think about going back to work, something I haven't done since I was 17."
