I dont think Agars seemingly never-ending time in charge is down to the board wanting to save money, think its a deeper problem that their whole philosophy re the coaching staff is seriously flawed,.
Jimmy Rule has said to me himself that he doesn't think who the coach is is that important for achieving success as long as we have a good squad in place. This is really worrying and I told him so but he laughed it off.
Also, every time a manager leaves a club in any sport ex-pros are wheeled out in the media to tell us that managers need more time than they get, stability breeds success and inevitebly bring up the Alex Ferguson example of not winning trophies in his first few years at utd. Jimmy seems to have adopted this line of thinking hook line and sinker but in the process forgetting that while giving someone time is all well and good, he needs to be the right man in the first place.
