Are you trying to convince yourself that playing rugby on hard pitch that can be watered in the summer is the same as playin on a pitch covered in ice?

Newcastle was pretty bad earlier in the week - the city centre was snarled up on Wed, though to be fair it wasn't too bad by Thurs morning. Still, my 2 1/2 hour train journey up on Wed took 3 1/2 hours, and travelling back yesterday it took 7 looooong hours.

Don't think there's been much snow in Newcastle since midweek, but your journey there & back might be slow.

The point is that they can be watered. And ours over the summer is done so. You cant do anything about a frozen pitch. Apart from sit and wait for 4 weeks for the weather to get better.

The sooner the game moves to summer, the better our game at all levels will become.

I'm positive ours will be on, it looks like it'll be better towards the end of the week.

For reference, Wigan is like the Roman Empire. Warrington is like the pillow fort I built in my bedroom when I was 9. Ok, 26...

Formally Yorkshiretillidie....

the Q will be whether a couple of days of 3 or 4 degrees will be enough to thaw a ground that has had multiple nights at -7, -8, even -9. The gound also needs sun. Problem is that a clear sunny day = a very cold night!!!
