We have had snow now for a few days and I have yet to see any kids knocking on doors asking if people want paths clearing etc. I know when I was younger we would have been up early and knocking on doors and clearing paths for a monetary gain of course.

Very few snowmen apart from the ones being built by adults and I have yet to see an igloo anywhere. I think todays generation of kids are happier to stay in and watch tv or play video games.

The other day a group of kids came round the houses in my area asking if people wanted there cars de-icing but not seen any offering to clear paths/drives yet, even though more people will want there drives/paths clearing.

The only snowmen & igloos ive seen are the ones ive made myself with my little lad in the back garden

Yeah I've haven't seen many children out playing in the snow. Only one rather sad snowman so far. Guess these Humbersiders aren't used to this much snow. Just off to show my husband how to make a snow angel!

Maybe it is something to do with liabilities, if someone slips. Crazy world now, with ambulance chasers!

I went mad at Howard the other day for clearing our path. If you're seen to tamper with it and the someone slips you can be seen as liable whereas if you leave it then it's just nature and nothing can be done.

It's a sad situation to be in really

My hubby said the same yesterday to our young 'un, he said you could have earnt a few quid with your mates..

I chipped in and said well you could do old people for free..My son replied ' no I would charge them double as they are totally unable to do it themselves'

Fortunately he told me he was joking, well I hope he was

Igloo spotted Clough Road.

Posted our igloo on the rumours forum, which was next to our snowman! Plenty of snowmen round our area.
