ST_CONROY wrote:I was just trying to wind you up Mark  . As for the head of officiating, i'm sure we've all questioned Stuart Cummins? How is that any differnet.

We are responsible for Vick being unleashed on the league as we knocked Kolb out of the game, Vick came in and granted played very well. He was effective because we had no gameplan prepared for him, i'm sure you can appreciate you have to gameplan differently for different style of QB. For Vick i'd imagine you'd aim to get more outside pressure and maybe play a Spy on him whereas Kolb you can come straight up the middle at him.

In all honesty i'd rank them:
1. Packers- We aren't rolling on all cylinders yet and we occassionally make stupid mistakes but our offence is starting to click. Our defence is argubaly the best of the top NFC teams. IIRC we are top 10 in run and top 15 againt the pass.

2. Atlanta- Impressive at home but it is somewhat over-exaggerated when you look at it. They can take anybody close at home but in outdoor stadiums they have played Steelers (LOST), Cleveland (WON- barely when Delhomme/Wallance were QB), Eagles (LOST). I expect them to be #1 seed as they only have to play Bucs, Panthers and Seattle away and should easily win 2 of those. I'm not convinced they have an good enough D though. (Maybe only my bias prevents me putting them at 1.)

3. Philadelphia- Very good team and the top 3 in my rankings are very close together. Atlanta are above them by virtue of being better at home, plus I seem them faltering when the weather gets worse.

4. Giants- You've had some good games and bad games but i think you'll come good down the stretch.

5. Saints- Still very good.

They aren't neccesarily the seed order I expect them to be in for the play-offs but how i'd rank them.

ESPN -

1. Falcons
2. Eagles
3. Packers
4. Saints
5. Giants
6. Bucs
7. Bears

I wouldn't have you number one. I'll probably change my mind should you win sunday. The top three are quite close. I don't agree with your defence part though. We have the 2nd best in the league.

Statistically. Although I think we're dodgy against the pass if our 4 don't get pressure.

I kinda get what you mean. I think if our starting wideouts come back healthy we'll be a threat as we have great balance offensively. Our biggest enemy this year has been ourselves.

That sounds about right to me. If we beat the Ravens tomorrow I think we definitely deserve a top 5 place.

Not really sold on anyone yet. I think the falcons D will be exposed leaving Matt Ryan too much to do, the Giants D looks weak unless the front 4 can get some sort of pressure, The packers/Eagles are hinging on QB performance on the day, something I never like to trust (think carolina few years back.) It really is a toss up but least my bets are keeping it interesting for time being

The Bears and Bucs Im happy to see doing well, even though I hope the bears fall away a little. The Bucs I believe may get exposed against a good on form side, but them like the lions and rams can see being contenders in the next few years.
I really think this year no one has an epic epic defense like the steelers/ravens of yesteryears where they can make up for offensive shortcomings. I really see the entire post season resting On QBs shoulders, and then youll all get to argue about whose No1 QB (psst lets hope its rodgers but dont tell conroy i said that  )

Hope that made sense my posts will get shorter its all bottled up thats all .

I guessed, bah and a Rhino fan on top, christ
Think you'll batter the Jets next week too but like any other team really the D could let you down come play off time, although can see pats going deep. (Hows that for sitting on fence)

To be fair I agree (not about the jests game tho I am sitting on the fence too  ), we can put plenty of points on anyone, but our D is very inexperienced although still good IMO but can also let in a boat load of points, I have said since the start of this season on here that I think our D will be awesome in the next 2 years so anything we do this years is a bonus.

:)

Who`s your RL team btw?
