Just heard news that friend of the club Noel Dean passed away on Friday. I'm sure a lot of people on here would have known him

I echo the sentiments above. Had always seen Noel around from the Tattersfield days but got to know him better during the Askern Supporters Branch era.

Noel Dean played for the Dons in the early 1960's his brother Brian also played for the Dons

Top bloke ,always had lots of time for him ,he was Dons through and through ,he will be sadly missed. Does anyone know when and where his funeral will be as i would like to pay my respects.

This is a message from Jean, Noel's wife. The funeral will be held at St Peter's Church, Askern on Tuesday November 30th at 1.30 followed by burial at Askern cemetry at 2.15. then on to Askern Miners' Welfare. Thanks.
