I'd very much doubt that there was a fee involved. When a club goes into administration all players become free agents as the club can not honour their contract and are therefore in breach of contract.

Thanks for that mate, i agree there should be no mergers whatsoever, it was just mooted on another forum. You stand a better chance staying in the same place and the change of name isnt as drastic as it could have been ( like broncos to quins lol ).
