Sweeney Tunes did well enough in the end finishing 5th of the 22 runners beaten 3 1/2 lengths having led 1f out he faded late on. Still looks a nice prospect and probably one who'll do better at 2m on a stiffer track judged on his P2P debut.

15:25 Back Of The Back - Rated someway inferior to these on her hurdles form but can't fault her over fences, she's 2/2 already winning a Beginners Chase at Limerick (runner-up has scored at Downpatrick since) and a winners event over course and distance last time out beating Sebadee a nose. The odds-on fav flopped that day so the form might look patchy but she's a CD winner over fences and a course winner over this trip over hurdles whilst her jockey/trainer combo are 2/2 this season at Cork showing a level stakes profit of £37.00 including her victory here last time out with both those victories coming in chases.

She's available at 14/1 with Stan James and Bet365 at the moment though for each-way punters there's only 8 runners so just the two places.

Saint Cloud 1.35 Roderic OConnor @ 3.9 and Maiguri 8/1 E/W

Roderic OConnor has the clear best form having chased home Frankel last time out an seemed like a mile might suit with the way it stayed on doubt about very soft ground though so done Maiguri as well who loves it and came 2nd to Wootton Bassett at the Arc meeting.

Cork 2.20 Miss Mitch 16/1 E/W and Hume River 10/1 E/W

Both are on marks where they have run well off, they handle soft ground and 3 miles plus.

Leopardstown 2.10 Luisant 4/1

Has run well this year while giving lots of weight away, should beat hard to beat if running near its best of 114 this year.

Leopardstown 3.20 Essex 25/1 E/W

Getting on abit but did win and a chase time before last, was 2nd to Elyaadi (2nd in Ascot Stakes) round here first run of the year and has 10lb claimer on to try an give it a better chance.

Had a lucky 15 yesterday of

Kingsfort - won 10s
Picture Editor - lost
Karasenir - lost
Kirklees - lost

Footy acca of:

Chelsea
Man U
MAN CITY :WALL:
Cardiff
Pompey
Reading
Huddersfield

would've paid 34/1 if City had won. 2nd week on the bounce I've had 7/8 teams and one has blown it.

Only staked 2.50 overall, and the win of Kingsfort at a nice SP should just about recover my pocket money.

Mistaken number press - there's only 7 runners ;)

Indeed. Decent call. Thought he was gonna kick on for a brief instant.

Yeah great call mate!

Really, really glad the jumps are starting to get going again, much prefer it to the flat.

I usually have a quiet time over about a 6 week period that has just gone, never do anything when the flat is coming to an end and the jumps just start...Round about now though the better horses start coming out and the bigger stables will start firing and winners will hopefully be a bit easier to find.

Been really lucky to run into a bit of a good run on the football aswell and managed to win 5 times out of my last 7 bets...Saturday I had 6/6 in the afternoon and then had 5/5 with later and evening kick-offs around Europe! If I'd had them all together it would have been over 100/1!

Anyway, got a bit of a decent bank built up now and a free £40 bet won on the racing forum to play with so hopefully my purple patch can continue a bit.

Will be paying close attention to Henderson's runners tomorrow!
