The point I made was golden cup was discontinued whilst still being rowntrees branded therefore nestle never should be refereced with golden cup,massively pedantic I know but to get anywhere near 1 up on mrs barista is to be snapped up

You are correct, it was Rowntrees at the time. Rowntrees is still the branding for fruit flavoured sweets like Fruit Pastilles. Since it's getting near Christmas it's nearly time for Matchmakers, which are made by Nestle but branded "Quality Street Matchmakers" now. It says on the website "MATCHMAKERS have joined the QUALITY STREET family" Why would they, unless it was some sort of shotgun wedding? When was the last time you picked out a toffee penny from a tin of Quality Street and when you unwrapped it it was actually a Matchmaker? Disturbing.

Never pick out the toffee pennies always go for the purple first here's the list Purples gone by 27th dec Golden barrels 29th dec Golden barrel clone rip off make up number sh@te 29th dec Triangles 30th dec Country fudge 31st dec Orange creme gone down my dogs gullet all of them Coffee creme rejected by my dog (in recycle bin ) Hard toffee based ones hang around until 24th feb usually consumed by guests or I wait longer until they perish a bit and go soft

We should get married. Don't like the purple ones or the triangles, but love the toffee pennies and coffee cremes. We might fall out about the golden barrels, though. They did a malt toffee a while ago that was ace. Still don't agree with them letting Matchmakers into the Quality Street family though, they never asked me.
