Wakey have a catchment area of 80K and with a brand new stadium and Cas out of the picture, then I think Wakey may be viewed the safer prospect by the RFL IMO...
The catchment area for Cas stretches far beyond the limits of the town which contains the 40000 folk of which you speak. Factor in the numbers the club attracts from the Normanton, Pontefract, Knottingley, Kippax, Garforth and Selby areas and you're immediately talking about a much larger catchment area with a population well into three figures. When you consider the nearest clubs to the East are yourselves and FC; and to South, Doncaster and Sheffield that gives some idea of the potential.
