A little bit of homophobia? Goodness goose, I expected better of you Mme. Blue Ridge High Mountains.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Probably for the best. Maybe you've turned into them, I hear more from you than them and they were a bit of a silly billy similar to your good self?

It's a very broad church, although macramé is the craft of choice, tapestry is a little awkward for those of an avian persuasion.

Well, it's not news, as there appears to be none on this topic, but apparently this could now drag on until the New Year. For a "strike force" they don't seem to be very swift.

"The police investigation into an alleged NRL betting sting could drag on until the New Year. Detectives from Strike Force Suburb still have more than 50 interviews to conduct before finalising their investigation into irregular betting patterns on the clash between North Queensland and Canterbury clash in Townsville in round 24.

It's understood that several players from the Cowboys are still to be questioned, and so are player agents who had clients involved in the game."

Sounds like the Australian government are getting fed up with match-fixing across sport are considering 2 year jail sentences through specific legislation.

I wonder if this is the same as the british police in similar cases where they say 'oh it will drag on now'
2 years later someone suddenly remembers about it and asks 'hey whatever happened about x'.
The police just say 'Oh yeah the case got dropped'.

Can't believe they've not interviewed all the players/agents yet - it's been going on for weeks and they've been to Townsville already. I like the look of that detective with the orange striped tie though - you can tell he's loving the attention, smirking away at the paps. He won't be rushed, he's loving the limelight.

But you can see my point though yes?

I can, but this is quite a high profile case and one that's contributing to a potential change in legislation. There may well be nothing to see and no case to answer, but I would think there'll be enough scrutiny to mean this Strike Force group has to actually conclude that rather than simply saying nothing and hope people forget it ever happened and they wasted months of manpower on a pointless investigation.
