Bentley comps were due to play away at Crofton today, but Crofton asked to change the venue to the Bentley ground.
Bentley were the victors and won the third game on the trot by beating Crofton 40-20.

Well done guys

Yeah, well done the Comps ... I might have go and watch them next time they are at home.
I did used to watch them occasionally when my nephew Ward Beresford played for them.

Thought they were away (as they obviously were intended to be) - sorry I missed it - well done on the result.

... turns out I did get a facebook message about it at lunchtime yesterday ... problem is, I rarely go on facebook and I have only spotted the associated e-mail in the last couple of minutes. Oh well.

As far as I know he is ... he's married and lives at South Kirkby now and was once thinking about moving to Australia, but I think that has been put on the backburner.
I see him once in a blue moon now ... at functions ... or if I want any gas work done.
He's still exactly the same.

Todays match at Brotherton has been postponed. Brotherton asked for a free weekend so the match will be rearranged later in the season.

Bentley companions played one of the best games of the season by beating Hunslet warriors 56-16. A well known prop forward played for Hunslet - Dean Samson.

Credit to Bentley   they are the new boys in this league and are unbeaten so far, and sit at the the top of the table.

Bentley are at home to Brotherton on Saturday 30.10.10, playing at Wheatley hills rugby union ground ( at the back of Furniture Factors with a 2.30 kick off)

Please get down and support the local lads.

New 'Boys' isn't far off the mark. On Saturday only two of the players were over 30, and another two over 22! The rest were 22 or under. If the club can keep them together it has a healthy future.
