Post subject: RFL give credit to the only true Derby

The RFL are have given in to the fact only Hull have a true Derby. Phil Clarke has jumped to the defence of Wigan v St and says there are 2. The big one in Wigan and the other in Hull. At Cardiff Rovers v Hull is the last game of the weekend and and Wigan v St the first.
The RFL need Rovers and Hull to make the game over there credible.
Sky have also stated there is only 2 proper Derby games and the big one is ST v Wigan.......Bo@@ocks.
The fight goes on............
Peter Gentle was rejected by Hull KR as their new head coach due to his lack of ambition.

Looking at Wiki, it could be indirect though. The Derby (the horse race, named after the Earl of Derby) got huge crowds and a Derby, it is suggested, was any match that attracted big crowds. In the days before big away followings, these were most often between local rivals.
