Not quite sure why an assault which occurs in the street 24 hours before a football match is anything to do with UEFA - presumably you want any and all crimes committed against visiting football fans in the UK to be dealt with by them too?

I notice you've become very angry and aggressive on here mate. You used to be such a reasonable and happy kinda guy.

All he was implying was that there is no proof it's football related.

Press bloke for Fivelive was on just then saying a car pulled alongside them and starting asking "liverpool liverpool?" then made threats to them.

As for it not being at the match itself so maybe in your and his eyes not football relation, police over here can use say singing loud football songs in the street while in town against you in applying for a banning order from football grounds.

Its been suggested that it could be quite lively in Manchester tonight. Apparently Lech Poznan have sold their full allocation of tickets to fans based in Poland but are also expecting about 3,000 UK based Polish fans who have also bought tickets. Its not clear that City's arrangements for ensuring adequate segregation have been 100% (they've allocated a different part of the ground for the UK based Poles). Its claimed that there will be a bigger police presence for this game than the derby. Could be problematic.

City's opponents tonight cannot resist the temptation.
