It happened in January 2010, and happens again in Jul 2011.......and in case you jump in with "yeah, but when does it next happen in October??" - 2021!!.....which only puts you 812 years out with your 'fact'!!

I did n`t realise I was part of a clique or indeed a keyboard warrior but I`ll still get a good nights sleep tonight. As for offering my opinion face to face I`ll be in the North Stand for our 1st game adjacent to the West Stand, you`ll be able to notice me by my trusty keyboard by my side.

I`ll agree to disagree with you about Licensing/franchising, if this concept is such a good idea why do the RFL not have it in place for all of the 3 divisions. We have salary caps to ensure that teams don`t overspend, some will find loopholes but thats life. With regards P&R I personally like it and it rewards the team who have won their GF, the team finishing bottom in SL deserve to be relegated . Thats a much simpler concept surely.
How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?

I don't think people would be so bothered by licencing if is was all fair and the best 14 applications get the 14 licences.
Licences were supposed be about looking after the clubs and allow them to plan ahead without the worry of relegation, but I think its fairly obvious now that the whole point of licencing is so that the RFL can have more of a say so in where they want to take the game. No-one would be that surprised if the RFL start making noises about more French teams and then in the next round of licences either Toulouse or even Paris get a licence. Licences just give the RFL more power about who plays in SL, nothing to do with making the game more stable.
Whilst I know I run the risk of being called a flatcapper, but if the RFL weren't been so intent on keeping a London presence, the Celtic experiment and allowing Catalans to play in SL, there would be enough room in SL for the 11 other SL clubs plus Widnes, Leigh and Barrow/Halifax.
I like the idea of a 2 tier SL with 10 teams in each and promotion and relegation between the 2 leagues. IMO there are too many clubs outside of SL with SL aspirations whilst at the same time there are too many clubs in SL who have no realistic hope of challenging at the top. If you had a 2 tier SL the top division would be a true elite league, with the 2nd division there to give clubs the chance to progress if they get in right on and off the pitch.
whilst two pro leagues of ten or twelve teams sounds a good idea i dont think the rfl/sle can afford it,sky would need to pay a lot more money and i cant see that happening until there are a lot more teams from outside lancs and yorks involved.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
