Oh, I'm not saying it in "aren't Hull rubbish they've sold less passes than last season" kind of way, I just know that the strategy is different this year to last when I think the target was 9K.
This year with Hull (the city) being badly affected due to such a large percentage of the population working in the public sector (and particularly the NHS) they're not setting such specific targets as they realise that money will be tight for a lot of people.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Hull as a city was badly effected this time last year too.

Oh, I'm aware of that Big Dave T, and tbh I hope both clubs sell as many as is possible.
I'm also aware that Hull won't be surprised or particularly disappointed if they sell a few less this year than last, I'm in no way stating that you will sell less and that I hope you do.
Anyway, as ever I've taken this off topic so I'll shut me cake hole now!

I think FC will sell less. We sold 9500 last year. I'd expect 8500 this year max. I dont think it's down to economic conditions though, more the tripe we see on the pitch.

So the number of pass holders is directly relative to quality of product on the pitch. Therefore this means FC play more entertaining rugby than all teams except Leeds and Wigan.. Better tell Wire and Saints to go for that one up stuff + aimless kick, its the future.
Mrs Barista wrote:So FC, by allowing their supporters cash in the bank for an additional 13 weeks and 3 or 4 extra month end pay cheques (last year the discount window was extended to the first week in January to allow for this), are actively disadvantaging them? Perhaps you should suggest Rovers do their fans a favour and launch season passes for 2012 at Easter 2011 to they can pay for them before the expense of the the summer holidays.
There is a charge to retailers for use of debit and credit cards, but it depends on the volume of transactions that retailer makes. Credit card charges are a % of the transaction value but debit cards are a fixed fee per transaction. Last place I worked it was 60p per transaction but that's going back a few years.
