Parking has always been the biggest problem there - there's only very limited on street. If the resaurant is booked out then get a taxi - its still worth it!

Not really brilliant but Akbars is OK and Swadesh is probably your best bet.

We ended up going to East Z East off Deansgate, for what it's worth. It was exceptionally whitey but still quite enjoyable - I was particularly impressed with their pickle tray. Probably as good as if not slightly better than Akbar's.
