True but to be fair to Lewis I don't think he is one of those people, I don't think many of the pros are now. They want to beat Taylor but they know, unless it's a final, their job isn't done. It does seem to take a lot out of them and it's not too surprising considering how good he is and how much he's dominated. I just hope Wade wins it and gives me a nice few quid.

They were like that in both games though, Wade had it too. Pathetic, it's not hard to keep order while they throw.

They aren't playing in front of 5 people and a dog anymore, they are playing to packed houses who have been paying out of the booty for Magners all day. It's part of the game now and they love the money they've pocketed through these people so they can't have it both ways

There's a difference between creating a good atmosphere and deliberately trying to put players off, the crowd in Dublin have been the latter. They wanted Taylor and Wade to miss hence why they'd boo and shout when they were throwing and held order while the other player threw. I go to the world championships, the Premier League in the Echo Arena and Blackpool every year, the atmosphere is good and good banter it seemed different at times this week.

Why was he not gracious? All I saw was him clapping Lewis.

Anyway Taylor had two cracking games, the Anderson one was top notch as was the Lewis game. I knew Lewis would not back it up though and Wade would come out on top.

You either must have selective hearing or Sky are piping boos and catcalls onto the TV coverage that aren't happening in the arena.

Heard plenty of instances in other tournaments, the Premier League and the Worlds of idiots trying to put players off. Ironically one of the biggest whiners about it on stage is Taylor, who has nothing to say when he's got a massive crowd behind him singing "Walking in a Taylor wonderland" while his opponent is throwing.

Darts has sold its soul. If it's happy being the new football - and attracting the drunken idiots that go with it - then fair enough, some people are going to get very rich off the back of it.

Ok, I didn't mean you never ever get people shouting out while a player is throwing, that's always gone on. But I've never know the majority of a crowd to constantly boo while a player is throwing to put them off.

Taylor often asks the referee to call for order and there's nothing wrong with that but I've never heard him complain during an interview or off the stage. As I've said I've never heard the majority of a crowd booing like that to put a player off.

Very over the top. Anyone who thinks darts is worse off for a decent crowd who create an atmosphere needs to give their heads a test. A minority may be the drunken idiots but you'd get them anywhere. Majority of the players lap it up most of the time, sometimes like last week it can be taken too far but that was even rare last week but you hype it up. Don't like it there's always the BDO![/quote]
