Good question, his personal battles with Briscoe in the derbies and both of their pretty good form all season (plus being good friends) would, I think, make a good centre/wing partnership for England. Hey ho.

I dont know what qualities he is trying to bring but to me it looks like he is trying to progress the youngsters for the World Cup. Only problem is these backs dont really have anyone to guide them and lead them, Tomkins is indevidually great but when the chips are down can he drag the team out of that hole and fight our way back into it? Robinson and Brown are never going to work on the big stage either.
A close game against PNG then two heavy defeats against the Kiwi's and Aussies. I hope not but the future does not look good.

I dont know but looking at that squad if I was him i'd be glad of the snub. I would imagine getting completly slaughtered wouldn't be on my to-do list. Infact not going could well be a blessing.
