...everywhere next season!
As i've just read on another forum elsewhere what are the chances of the RFL doing the decent thing and splitting the division East and West. We've got some right travelling to do next year, and i can't see many away fans turning up here either.

There are stong rumours circulating that the forthcomnig season will be the last in its current format...to be fair it has been a good year since the last league reformat

It wouldn't be Rugby League if we didn't revamp the second division every two years :D

Why not combine the two leagues so we can have a few more games to watch, we don't have to play everyone if it's done on a semi regional basis.

Why don't we indeed if there is no friggin' where to go except every three years ... apart from a bit of uppy-downy between the two. There is just not enough proper rugby to watch.
Mind you everything has been tried and it's all a flop.

But it certainly would make sense to reduce travelling and at least get some away supporters.

It'll come down to the old; would people rather see us competing/winning against Swinton, Workington etc or (most likely) losing against Featherstone/Halifax etc

Winning against Fev and Halifax thanks ... and if we don't think we can ... we ought to pack in.

Apart from Widnes and maybe a couple of others no-one is going up, so it may as well be made better for those of us left in the CC/CC1. I'm sure that a combined league playing all your local teams and a selection of teams from over the hill is the best option. More games, more derbies, more money! It's got to be a good idea so it will never happen!

We won't do straight away if thrown straight in there, its whether people would stay around long enough for us to build to that

One thing is for sure ... it's not working as it is ... and it's going nowhere for small clubs.
And yet the quality of football played is actually very good and deserves a better stage.

It infuriates me that it can be weeks between home games ... that's a recipe for failure.
