Errrr so from that thread what part of the criticism is unfair or indeed wrong? Could you also point out a single post that blames the defeat on Hall? Its complete bollox to suggest Hall was the victim of some sort of hate campaign. In fact their is even a neutral who posts on that thread who makes the same comments. He has had plenty of opportunites to prove himself and he just hasn't done it, people can make all the excuses they want but he has to take some responsibility aswell.

You got all that from such a little post of mine. How sad.

As a Saints fan who remembers seeing Hall take on, and tear Folau a new derrier in the academy series a few years back, i have to say i have been very dissapointed with his development.
He appears to have heeps of natural ability, but for some reason it hasnt been chanelled right.
Looking at the poor record in Hull of actually developing talent to their full potential, i think its more the coaching(or lack of) at Hull FC than the individual themselves.
I actually fear that Tom Briscoe will stagnate and become just another big lump on the wing, when he should become a world class player.
Hopefully Hull KR with a decent aussie coach at the reigns will be able to iron out Halls rough edges. If he does, then you will have potentially the best centre in Britain on your books. Certainly i think he will benefit more from Hull KRs footballing philosophy, rather than the dour 5 drives and a kick, hope for the opposition to make a mistake Rugby employed by Agar.

100% agree.
Briscoe has bags of potential, but (colours aside) if he stays at Hull FC, he will become nothing but a good player, when he could easily become a world class player.
In my opinion, if he knows what is best for him, he will not be at Hull in 3 yrs time.
However, having heard him talk in a couple of interviews, he has a high opinion of himself already, so maybe he is willing to settle for where he is at now.

Briscoe made the right decision staying at Hull (I'm assuming he had other offers or would have had if he'd been free). He's still a boy and needs some stability to allow him to develop, he seems to do well in the FC set up and he's getting noticed as is seen from his england call ups. No doubt he'll make his mind up if he feels the environment is still good for him at the end of his current contract and make a decision then.
Hall for whatever reason hasn't come on as he looked like he should have, this may be to do with the set up at FC, the fact hes not had a settled starting position or maybe he's not good enough. No doubt we'll see in the next year or two. He's not going to be a starting 3 or 4 for us so anyone expecting him to come on a tear trees up may be disappointed. Ratu came with the potential Hall has and he's not set the world alight yet, maybe hes been unlucky with injuries but is he now cast aside.

I remember Scott Moore doing similar to the aussies and being described as the next big thing at SH for Saints. However it never happened and now he is a hooker, average one at that.
Not every player develops how people think they will.
