Was out yesterday and only picked up on this late in the day. Very sad indeed. The sort of guy who polarised opinions when on the pitch, it seems that he hadn't come to terms with life without RL.

I didn't hear the news until I was driving home from Wellingborough last night, and whilst, as many people have put, he polarised opinions, at the same time, I respected him as a player. I find it more upsetting that he felt he had nowhere to turn other than taking the course of action that he eventually took.
