If I read it right an article prior to his op suggested that he has been suffering with the problem pretty much all the time he's been at Rovers. His form for us, fair, occasionally good (not the standard I was expecting from a Kiwi international) would seem to support this.
If there is more to come from Webster then I think centre is going to be a difficult position to take off him, although if has been suggested, defence is his greatest attribute, we might as well have kept Jon Goddard. I hope to see more of an attacking threat when he's back.

Webster could be great on the wing, but we dont have anyone to really replace him in the centre, regarding Welhams defending, he must be getting told to shoot out of the line, but its about time he stopped doing it now cos it isnt working. i cant think of another team that defends this way.
Webster is a first class centre. The hip has not been right for 2 years but having spoken to him last week he said he is almost pain free for the first time in 2 years and with more reab he will be 100% for next year. With him and Mason running the same side who in SL will stop them? Webster at Centre guaranteed and the right choice.

Did I read correct? We might as well have kept Jon Goddard? What a joke.
Webbo is a class centre. No doubt about it, he is such an attacking threat, and in defence he is priceless. Roll on next season, we will see the real Jake Webster next season.

We wont play Galea AND Charlie off the bench ever IMO, With Newton, Clinton, Galea, Mason, Vella, Lovegrove, Wheeldon, Watts, Netherton Murrell and Cook I hardly see a place for them off the bench.
Justin Morgans bench usually and most probably will hold places for two props, a back rower that can play prop, second row or loose man and a replacement hooker. The hooking role is likely to go to Hodgson and Fisher and I'd guess at Mason, Lovegrove and Netherton being the other replacements if all are fit.
Where this leaves Scotty I dont know and as stated Benny will come in when we get injuries along our back line. A fully fit starting pack that I think Justin will pick is a little like this...
14.Hodgson 15.Lovegrove 16.Mason 17.Netherton (Personally would replace Jason for Charlie or even Cook/Wheeldon but as said I think this is what Justin would go for.)

Whilst we may disagree on Rovers strongest line up Nick, its good to see that even a train on England squad member is struggling to get into your starting seventeen. How times are a changing

I'd go:
Vella Fisher/Hodgson Watts
Newton Mason Murrell
Galea Cockayne Lovegrove Clinton
This leaves the opportunity to play Ben through that middle channel but also gives cover for injuries in the backs. The interchange hooker is a bit of a dying breed imo too.
You can see one thing from all these potential sides people are picking; We're gonna have some serious competition for places next season, and some real strength in depth

I expect him to hit the form he did when he first arrived with a bit of luck.
