Why do people boo?

I have never booed any team I have supported, and believe me I have seen some trash. I just don't understand it.

Yesterday i'd advocate him starting as Babel was our only other option and he doesn't track back enough. Once Kuyt comes back, Maxi won't get a sniff really.

I was laughed away when I posted my doubts on here. I think my feeling was that he could be an Albert Riera, great potential but only shows glimpses of it and not very often.

Yep, poor player. Certainly no Ryan Babel

Like I've said on the Warrington forum. Booing is part of sport. 1 goal/ try/ play can make a result acceptable regardless that the performance was poor.

How sport fans can't understand this is beyond me. A player scores he's a hero, misses and he's a villain. The team wins, the sky is blue, you lose, and the sky's are grey.

Why don't you do a survey next time you go to Villa Park, Goodison Park or White Hart Lane with the in laws.

Assuming no City fans boo's? If they do, ask them why they're doing so.

Because we played shiite, it wasn't just the defeat it was the performance that went with it and it was fully justified. Fans wanted to show they wern't impressed and that's how they did it. I don't see why people have such a problem with booing, it's a way for fans to vent their anger at a shiit performance.

Oh an before EE has a go no I didn't boo, I was really vexed off as it was awful and I don't have a problem with the people around me who did boo.

I just see it as being a fans way of venting their anger tbh, if they don't believe they've had value for money (like us on Saturday) then that's how they let the players know. It took until the 88th minute create a decent goal scoring opportunity.

What's he done wrong? I seen him fall to the floor once, but so did Stevie G so must be okay. Apart from that he's done welll, he absolutely mullered Konchesky yesterday.

Never really understood it myself. Especially the people who sit there in silence for the duration of the game offering no support, only to boo at the end if they don't win? :?

Well said.

I hate sitting near whingers. City's home support is full of them, although you very rarely here whinging at away games.

The population (in this case the number of supporters) is higher than 3,000. The sample would be random and weighted to reflect the known demographic profile of Everton's support (I guess, 'very white' - we all know your history). I would want a confidence level of 95% and confidence interval of + or - 2%. That would mean I would need at least 1,100 responses. No chance.

Could you imagine having to talk to 1,100 dippers? That would make me physically sick.
