ComeOnYouUll wrote:You suggest that Hull fans are disloyal despite us having the third highest attendance average in Super league yet again, even after two poor seasons and one average one. Meanwhile Rovers' crowds have fallen by 300. Who are the most loyal? Maybe time to give Olly Murs a regular spot?

I think that the attendance figure at the start of a game is somewhat more important than at the end.

The only thing I suggest is that leaving your stadium by the thousands when your team are doing a season end lap of honour is disgraceful and embarassing, if you're happy with it, that's fine :D

We took over 3000 to Wigan last night for an 8pm kick off knowing that at 10:00pm parts of the M62 was shut and the likelyhood would be getting back into hull after 01:00am.
Your supporters couldn't even number 1000 going from West Hull to East Hull. The excuses used range from "I'm not giving them Drovers my hard earned cash, I won't stand in the South stand, Theres always trouble so i refuse to go and haven't being for years, We're going to get beat, ect ect ect" You sing in any kind of weather. This song you sing is bullshit and IMO you need to stop singing it because you certainly don't believe in the lyrics.

So yes we are the most loyal fans and alot more loyal then Hull fans by a very very long way.

Well we all know your doublethink on attendance figures, Easty

You have the most loyal fans despite losing 300 fans per game?

As for your "thousands" of away fans - this season:

Bradford - 9234 v Rovers, 8411 v Hull
Cas - 6855 v Rovers, 7996 v Hull
Catalans - 6513 v Rovers, 6512 v Hull
Crusaders - 5137 v Rovers, 6794 v Hull
Quins - 2819 v Rovers, 3982 v Hull
Hudds - 6304 v Rovers, 7939 v Hull
Leeds - 15201 v Rovers, 16896 v Hull
Salford - 4111 v Rovers, 3535 v Hull
Saints - 9458 v Rovers, 12142 v Hull
Wakey - 6218 v Rovers, 5366 v Hull
Warr - 9216 v Rovers (smallest crowd of the season), 10042 v Hull
Wigan 12429 v Rovers, 15045 v Hull

Suggests we oten take more, unless home fans stay away when Rovers are in town?

guys you have derailed the purpose of the thread...
it was aimed at slamming and condemning the minority that has tarnished our name... NOT A SLANGING MATCH BETWEEN KR AND FC.

SO PLEASE BACK ON TOPIC.

Down the years Hull have usually had better crowds than Rovers, we can't argue with that and since the move to the KC Hull have taken full advantage of their surroundings and built one of the biggest home support followings in the game. In contrast to that though, Rovers have never had as low an attendence in Super League as Hull have had if we look back at the Boulevard days since summer rugby league was introduced. The lowest Super League crowd Hull have had is 3161 for a home game with Salford back in 1999. The lowest Super League crowd Rovers have had is 6299 in 2007, also against Salford. One thing for sure, Rovers crowds will never drop to the 3161 that Hull had whilst we are in Super League, and we all know that will be for years to come.

We're not the best supported team at home and Craven Park is a major factor in that, but we're also not the worst for home crowds, and far from it. As for away support, I do feel some fans exaggerate the figures, but away support is healthy from Rovers, and often commented on by not only fans of other clubs but more importantly chairmen and board members of other clubs.

Rovers are making steady progress in the Super League, at a guess I'd say we are the most successful promoted team since the inception of Super League in the short time we've been in the elite division and with ground improvements, I can only see the crowds going up on the home side, with more away supporters wanting to travel to Craven Park also.

DANNY LOCKWOOD - LEAGUE WEEKLY (18-5-09)

I'M SURE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE FACT THAT THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE 2009 MEDIA WHINGING AWARD ARE FROM GATESHEAD AND HULL FC, FORMERLY THE B*ST*RD-TWINS OF ONE OF RUGBY LEAGUE'S LOUSIER IDEAS.

A fabulous error, one to be proud of!

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I wouldn't say I was happy with it, but then I wouldn't say it was "disgraceful" either. That would be more applicable to thowing coins and lighters at opposition players meaning they have to move away whilst a conversion is being taken.

Not really.
Other factors come into play such as games being televised or fans not attending coming off the back of expensive trips to France, London or Murrayfield etc etc.
