Well that depends how you look at it.
Lets say you offered him 15k over 1 year thats 15k.
Now if you extend that too 2 years that jumps too 30k so he got 15k more than you wanted to give him.
Which means our interest cost you 15k.

Yes he got a two year but he never got a pay rise as Bertie suggested. Hull were giving him a one year deal and then review it for potentially another year. All that happened was he got a two year deal lumped together.
