Actually there is a valid reason why those gates are far apart. The Batley match took place at the back end of a mild summer and it was a sunny day, trees were green and it was a Sunday. Last night's match was played during an unusual cold snap and it was dark cos it was nigh-time and there was the threat of death eaters too. It's easily explainable.

I'm sure I read somewhere on here that Fax were promoting the Batley match by handing out free tickets at some show or festival. On match day instead of counting the number of people that actually turned up they counted the number of people they gave tickets to and used that as the attendance figure.
