It was. But the offence was a Grade A offence, with a maximum penalty of 1 game. Radford had already done 72 minutes in the Leeds game and had an unblemished disciplinary record over a long career. Therefore sending off sufficient was the only realistic outcome. Fortunately the gravitas and well-articulated response by James Rule in person ensured that justice prevailed.

I'm not sure I was gushing, but I'm glad Radford is available for selection. With the "Don't sign Radford" chanting in his presence at Craven Park, though, I'm not sure whether he'll be mentally tough enough to cope, so it's a risk. Or maybe motivation. Agar played that card quite well last time.
