Another plug - this time for our Slugger!

I'm not a reader of books - too impatient - but her indoors is. I bought a copy of 'Salem' by Neil White and gave it to her last week. It's the quickest she's ever finished a book - never put it down. She loved it, will be passing it on and wants more!!!!

I was tempted, but I just can't bring myself!

Just reading Salem now having just finished Dead Silent. Read all of them and I can recommend them all, they are a damned good read.

Salem was I believe re-written as Last Rites and the plot is pretty much the same but I have to say I find Boston a better and interesting setting having been there than Blackley. I now know why Slugger like me likes Baseball and the Red Sox.

Give it a go Phil, you will find it hard to put down.

First Blood is a good book, makes Sly's version look like Mary Poppins.

Can anyone tell me about an old building (its no longer there) about 150 yards before the Redoubt pub on the same side of Horbury road.

Its either an old pub or a off licence, it did say "Magnet" outside.

Any ideas.
