Thanks for the update on Smarty Socks - didn't back him yesterday and that was my initial thought too regarding the ride but then he has to be ridden like that and that's always the danger in these big field handicaps. You got the best jockey in the North riding for the yard too IMO (I include Hanagan in that) and I hope he's down on a retainer

Magic Millie ran a blinder too - great season that the yard is having and Pepper Lane ran another good race against at least one well handicapped rival yesterday too.

They lost by 1 at bramhall lane 2 weeks ago , but only needed a bonus point to finish 3rd. Also letting Sheffield get the win meant Batley could not make the playoffs..Which would have been an harder game tonight.
