Look, Leeds are back to back champions for three years so know a bit about the business end of the season, and their captain says they are embarrassed. They've only one thing to aim for now the double dream has been ended. They are missing Peacock, Burgess and JJB, which will hurt them, but again I think you missed the game if you think the Leeds pack put in a full shift against Warrington. McGuire played 80 minutes I believe, so that's more nonsense.

Bertie wrote:Maybe your lads didn't really benefit from having the weekend off, perhaps Long and Horne aren't returning to boost a fully fit squad ( ?)

This is an old argument about continuity vs being fresh. Leeds may use their poor underperformance on Saturday as the best form of motivation - it's a possibility. Fully fit? Well, apart from having only 2 of our first choice back 5 available.

Not at all. As said, I'm delighted to be in the 6, that's an improvement of 6 places over last year and our best finish since we last made the play-offs, when you actually had to make the 6 to qualify. Do you think FC will be favourites with the bookies?

Well aware Leeds have been champions for the past few years, but eventually even the best teams have dips, sometimes temporary other times more prolonged. The matter has even been discussed on their own board but the more sensible fans realise the loss of three key forwards and also possibly Clarkson now (injured knee) is crucial to them. McGuire did indeed play 80 minutes even if he may have been fully composmentis (sp) after being knocked out, but then again players have often played on only to discover later they have broken bones etc, part of the game but it hardly helps their performance. And it appears the vast majority of your fans welcome the timely boost that the very experienced half backs of Horne and Long will give the team.

The argument about playing in a hard cup final as against having the week off is hardly a new one but i think you'll find all coaches have stated its good to freshen up their team especally during a crucial stage of the season. Thats not saying that the two coaches in the final would swap places to give their teams a rest.

As for mind games i doubt any other Hull fan has already stated Rovers will win the play off derby at the KC should we meet because Hull have managed the two victories in the regular season. Alex Ferguson is usually regarded as master of mind games, could you consider yourself the mistress of them. :D

Standing up to the forum bully.

It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated

Quit with the mind games ffs, it doesn't work on here.

Anyway, back to OUR game at Crusaders anyone?

I'll be making the pilrimage to North Wales to see the game along with a few burning cottages. Hopefully, Rovers will turn out a competitive team ahead of the Play Offs.

Agree mate - whilst of course there's the worry of injuries to first-teamers, IMO we have to put out our strongest team to hopefully go into the play-offs with some momuntum. Still won't be too confident of a win but we've got to give it our all there, + I would rather Cas be in the play-offs anyway. :CROWN:

I'm going along, because I'm on the lash in Chester straight after. Just one request. As a Wakey fan, I can't shout for Leeds or Cas. End of. When they play each other, I pray for a meteorite landing on the half-way line. So, what chances are there of me being allowed to cheer for Hull FC in the Turf before the game, and then for Crusaders during the game. Or should I sit on my own?
