Really enjoyed the tournament and signs of hope the likes of Caven and Jones can mix it on TV at last and that Terry Jenkins and Colin Lloyd have perhaps been written off too soon.

carl_spackler wrote:Thought it was shocking from what I saw, TBH. Commentary was pretty poor, the spotting missed plenty of darts (as well as missing plenty more by trying to show a close-up of the player for too long and changing shot too late), and the on-screen scoreboard hardly worked.

Have to agree, some may moan about Sky,but the sports presentation is always quality.

Not the strongest field but great that Dennis can still go out and do the business and beating Whitlock and Anderson on home turf is no mean achievement

Whitlock hadn't even dropped a leg until he met Priestley. That's good work by the Menace. Legend!

Superb stuff. Dennis has gone out in early rounds of too many majors lately.

At last! Been waiting for that for a long time, rarely listened before as it meant logging into PDC TV to listen to it.

Think the prices for the first weekend are a bit OTT (£10 up on last year) especially with 4 women and 2 Under 21's there it could see some very one sided games but hopefully going the first Sat Night and then Wednesday and Thursday nights too but I fear the quality of the early stages will not be good.

Could be some good close matches amongst that lot. Is Anderson's shoulder sorted?

Yeah Anderson has been doing ok in the Championship League Darts although his finishing has been awful and cost him when he had loads of chances to beat Alan Tabern in one of the daily finals.

The double in format in Dublin looks made for Whitlock and this could be his best chance of securing a first big title.
