I think you do our Under 20s a dis-service. I was not surprised at all they beat Bradford tonight in that final after witnessing them coming a last minute missed penalty goal away from drawing with Leigh in Pre Season.
Sounded to me though like we perhaps got lucky to play our Semi Final first. Bit more rest into the final that helped give us a burst of energy to lead 20-6 by the time Bradford reacted it was too big a lead in a half that lasts just 7.5 minutes.

Cant understand why Bradford or Wakefield would put out their full squads. Surely this event is a great way to blood some youngsters etc
From a Bradford p.o.v, we have nothing to play for in SL now, so the reason for putting out a strong squad was to try and add a tiny but of gloss to a horiffic season. Even if it is a trophy no-one will remember, it's better than no trophy, right?

When you take that into account and the fact that Wigan were having a nice old rest whilst we were playing golden point vs Wakefield first team, then I don't think it's a complete embarassment.
I'd prefer to have won, but ATEOTD it's a competition who most won't remember the winners by next year.
Havent all but crookes and addey played first team the season?
when the score got to 50 we shouted for more, up popped brad davis went over for four.....

Perhaps Bilko I do. I don't want to take anything away from their fantastic achievement. I admit the trophy means very little on the grand face of things, but to them lads it's a proud achievement (and a hefty amount of prize money to share!).
But the point still stands Bilko that that Bradford team should have beaten Wigan. It wasn't just our U20's it was a mixture of U20's & U18's. The majority of our Reserve side is in the First Team or out on dual registration. Perhaps this has allowed our U18's to accelerate in their development?
