Ah yes, Gillette who were once a major sponsor for a full season, who now take pity and donate to a couple of England games.
Our official sponsors in some limiting capacity are Engage, Carnegie, Iron Bru, Gillette, Front Line, Cooperative, 2XU, Royal Navy obviously blue chip companies of the future, to make our sport a truly great one.

All jokes aside, yes we have some nice sounding sponsors on board, but you cant really compare that to the old days and different times, a more suitable comparison would have been other sports of a similar size, for which im sure you will find equally impressive sponsors, and that should lead you to the conclusion, that attracting sponsors is 'part of their job' What many of the SL Club fans fail to see is the closed shop Franchising system is making a mockery of the sport and will ultimately make the game beaneth and above the 'Wood-Lewis' cut off 'stale'. The game will not grow beneath SL because the dream is destroyed, the integrity of sport shattered by two people for whom marketing is seemingly being put ahead of sport and competition. I whole heartedly agree with the gentlemen or Lady that commented that we still can't beat the Aussies, so show me the improvement against that yardstick? And as for Clubs in SL being allowed to develop youth with stability!? Really? come on, get real. We'll watch that one with interest. Now finally, Clubs managing finances, thats upto clubs in my book, its called the real world, competition, theres other ways to tackle yo yo clubs and boom and bust within Sport. Sad days, unfortunately the one eyed man in this land of the blind, wont be king anytime soon. Good luck enjoy your Rugby.

And what amazing sponsors did we used to have?
Thats my point, its not who we have past and present but who we should attract to give the sport some credability. O2, Vodaphone, Emirates, Guinness, BMI, Virgin, RBS would do for starters.

Is it not unlawful for sports to be used to advertise alcohol?
