Sad for him. He realised as soon as he grounded it what he had done. He stepped back, pointed at the sand with the club and asked the steward in front of him whether it was a bunker.

He didnt TBH, he had a reflection in front of him and asked them to block it out so it didnt put him off.
As harsh as it is and as this is going to sound hes a dumbfook, if its sand its a bunker, if he wasnt sure he should have asked the referee that was with them, simples

If it's a bunker people shouldn't be walking through it. If your allowed to stand in a bunker at majors I'm going to go to a tournament and set myself up in a greenside one. Will have the best view on the course! Shame that such an enjoyable tournament will finish with a cloud over it.

I agree that people shouldnt be allowed to walk in them thats just stupid, but according to the feller thats just been on all the players knew the rules so what else can they do?
