Could`nt give a damn about the international game it`s the worst international game in sport going on results, attendances, media coverage etc. I would rather see an Aussie like Clint Newton, Mark O`Meley show me how rugby league should be played than watch mediocre brits like Matt Cook and Ewan Dowes "have a go".
If we signed 17 oversees next year and won the grand final, I personally couldn`t care less.
Can`t help agreeing with you.

Ever wondered why the International game is like this then, with attitudes like that.

The international game isn't like it is due to overseas players it's like it is because of organisation, media coverage and the fact that not many people care. The fact of the matter is we are a minority sport only played in a few countries and even if it was the most competetive England side no one would still care. Tv audiences would be low and attendances still low.
Sl talk about developing the international game yet let cats play in the English league. Why not develope a French league, an irish league a Russian one etc.. We aren't and never will be as big asinternational rugby union so we might as well just have the best domestic league we can and sod the rest.

I personally don't like all this nonesense and it should not be allowed. this is not a dig at rovers as rules are rules and if you keep within them then all well and good. It is just wrong though, and the people that run our game are morons and we all end up looking like a laughing stock. The ultimate insult then becomes Cardiff in feb. Good thinking that.

Can anyone show me any evidence of an overseas quota having any effect on the international game? Look how many foreign players the premier league has yet England are (allegedly) one of the greatest teams on the international scene!
