At the end of the day it goes back to the petition the Rovers fan group submitted asking for a slice of the King Comms profit to improve Craven Park, profit which Hull City & FC have done well from. (which is great)
FC fans: ‘Well Rovers had their chance to play at the KC’ Rovers fans: ‘Never going to happen the clubs based in East Hull’ Etc etc, blah blah blah
Personally I’d be happy with a couple of million to help, I don’t expect anything like the scale of the KC/West park development and i don't think the petition is asking for that.
Fair enough. But would you be happy for the return of that investment to mean sharing CP with another sports team and paying a hefty rent as you become a "tenant" ?

Some Rovers fans will never be convinced of anything other than the council literally threw £43 million quid at Hull FC to build themselves a nice shiney new stadium anywhere they wanted and which they could use free of charge. No way in hell was there a whole consultation process with several possible sites considered and the best possible site chosen based on things like transport links. No Sireeeee it was all down to Hull FC demanding the council build them a stadium and only in the exact position they want. In fact I can exclusively reveal that the ONLY reason the stadium was built was so that Hull FC could get one over on Rovers. Fact.
Is it time to take the p1$$ out of FC for being tennants and having a really unfavourable rent agreement whilst pointing out we dont even own our stadium and football rule the roost yet?
Imperfect as it is, I think this compares pretty favourably with its less than impartial 'Rovers get the begging bowl out' cousin. The above is a straw man, IMO - I don't think anybody has written anything like that. The KC is what it is and nobody is trying to change that. Without having to exaggerate their extent, we can see clearly that it has offered Hull FC great benefits. Hull KR would like to benefit in a similar way, albeit on a much smaller scale - which is natural enough. There may be economic and political arguments against the council helping to improve CP - but it very difficult to see any legitimate moral objection to Rovers , or their fans, asking.

If the council invest in a new North stand then yes i'd expect them to take rent (on the North stand) or a cut of profits made. I mentioned it earlier they could take 75% of all takings to begin with and then perhaps decrease this to 50% as the money is repaid, or something along those lines...?

A deal structured on similar principles to FC's at the KC would seem fair, based on the extent of the investment. And sharing with an amateur RL team or one of the RU teams would be fine by me.

I wouldn't expect the council to simply gift Rovers a North Stand, rent or return on the investment would have to be arranged.
I don't really know where you're coming from regarding sharing CP.

It's too open to abuse. Just a commercial rent on the place I would have said. Somewhere in the region of £200k p.a. which is probably about 1/3 of what Hull pay to use the KC, plus rovers make more from the bars etc

speedway or greyhounds would be the most commercially viable
