Say......for arguments sake, all you want to do is win a play-off because you had never won one before and you haven't really got any hope of getting to the final

5th is defo better than 4th

If you have a realistic chance of making GF then 4th is better than 5th

Chances are 4th will play 5th in second round so don't see how being away from home is better than being at home.

I fail to see how 5th is 'better'. Finish 4th and you travel to Wigan with absolutely nothing to lose, win and your 80mins away from the GF, lose and you get a second bite of the cherry at home. Finish 5th and you get a home tie vs Cas or Crusaders, win that game and you travel to somewhere like Warrington and more than likely, lose. Even if you were to pull off a shock win there, you would then have to do it all again (away from home). But anyway..

I agree with you but......
I just wonder if 5th, win at home, momentum then to go away and play a team who must have had a battle the week before. Would it give us a better chance? Dunno, guess time will tell! Personally, I will be happy with winning a playoff game, after the last two seasons of rubbish we have endured.
