its got all that wrong with it and its probably still going to be the best stadium in the league this season
i would imagine that the council will say there building a new north stand and then spend another 10 years building it.
theres nothing wrong with the Skircoat stand, we just have no requirement for it, we can fit all our fans in the south stand and the east stand so its pointless to have extra stewards that are not needed.
the pitch is looking brilliant at the moment, the rough winter and drainage problems led to what people saw towards the end of last season.
its still a privalage for all the teams apart from FC United to come to the shay, big crowds, nice stadium, they dont find it very nice when they go home with a defeat but thats just football
Deserved draw from reports against higher league opposition.
i know you cant read to much into freindlies but unbeaten so far and 2 draws against higher level opposition, were looking good for the new season
I've had a bit of 40/1 e/w on Hyde. Purely due to their link up with Man City and having their debts paid off I thought they might be worth a little nibble at a decent price.

Well i didnt go to the game so i cant really say whether they were a good bet or not.
they do have one of Halifax's ex strikers leading there line this season, he scored 24 goals for us in the unibond north a couple of seasons ago, couldnt tell if he could make the step up, he scored there goal on saturday though.

Well they came to the Shay to play a freindly on saturday, the played alright in the first half, really the only difference was they took the chances they had,
they were overun in the second half against a team 2 leagues below them, it certainly didnt look a 2 league gap thuogh which is a big positive for my team Halifax.
i know you cant really read much into freindlies, i am happy with what were doing.

Aye, don't get too carried away with friendlies. We lost 3-1 at the Shay last pre-season and went on to have our best season for ages. This season we have defeated Scunthorpe, means diddly. Just hope we can make the playoffs again this season.
