Far from it
Nonsense rhetoric???!!
I think you must be confusing this legend of League with someone else.
Are you old enough to remember the Kangaroo tours Wire Quin?
Should they happen again?
I'd love to see the Kangaroos taking on Wigan at the DW Stadium or Warrington at their place

I still reckon PNG will turn you over!!
Although I bag England out a lot I genuinely would like to see the national side win something. I know how I would feel if Australia hadn't won anything since the early 1970's. It cant be much fun following England (and seeing them make the final last year only to lose...again)
And despite English RL fans being English I have always found them a friendly bunch down the pub or at various games I've been to.

Did you go? Was it a good game? I imagine there would have been a full house for that one.
Another advantage of scrapping the 4 nations and bringing back Kangaroo tours would be the crowds. From what I've seen over here people have a real affinity with their local club side rather than the national side and would turn up in droves to see them try and give the Kangaroos a bloody nose.

Exciting times for this benighted nation. Rugby league is their number one sport but they have lacked the infrastructure and finances to make that count. Now plenty of players are making a serious living in Super League and the NRL and the national team is starting to compete. It might turn out that the decision to put them into the group of death in the Rugby League World Cup 2008 was the turning point.
They are eager for the challenge, full of confidence and have a nation of six million people behind them. The key will be if the organisers will make the decent decision and give them some home games. They will feel confident they can beat England and give the other two a run for their money.
I seriously think if they can score a couple of quick tries against England and go into the sheds up at half time then PNG will win this one.
