Barry McKenzie has been thinking about the pros and cons of the 4 nations tournament.
In my opinion it should be scrapped.
Why?
Well I'll tell you why.
It's a waste of time.
The winner will be either Australia... or New Zealand if they get lucky on the day.
None of the other nations that have been involved (PNG, England or France) will ever have a hope of winning it. It simply wont happen. Thats a fact.
Instead of a 4 Nations Tournament Barry McKenzie would like to see a return to the 'Ashes' (hate that word when its referred to in a Rugby League sense) involving a GB team held every other year.
On the years that the 'Ashes' aren't held I would like to see a return to the old Kangaroo tours. I'd love to see a Kangaroo side taking on the so called big guns of Superleague every other year.
4 nations?
Pfffffffft

if we have no hope of beating australia once, which is all we have to do to win a 4 nations, why would you want to go back to playing a 3 game ashes series against us??

I can't wait for it Baz. I watched Cam Smith, Greg Inglis and Billy Slater play yesterday and to be honest they look dramatically out of form. I'm beginning to see a NZ-England final.

tool!
It might be early and I've got the mother of all hangovers but how do you work out England only have to beat Australia ONCE to win the 4 nations?

You would have seen a different Smith, Inglis and Slater if the Storm were in the running for finals footy Jonny.
They have nothing to play for this year in the NRL.
I hear Thurston might miss this years 4 nations.
Hope not.

God imagine the humiliation if that did happen.
I'm looking forward to seeing how PNG shape up though I must be honest.
You hate Thurston???

I hate players who cry when they don't get their own way. Which is why my top 3 is Thurston, Graham and Slater. What will the PNG line up be roughly? Edit.

I'm not sure whats going on with the PNG national team recently. I must try and find out. I was quite impressed with them in 2008 in Townsville and I feel if they had a few more decisions go their way they could have beaten England then.
