England all out with a lead of 179, Pakistan put down 7 catches.

23 overs left today, could still be a 2 day test the way they have batted.

Except for the poor light.

It must be a hard life being a Pakistani bowler. Asif was magnificent, but when you've no runs in the bank and are consistently failed by your fielders, it's got to get you down.

To be fair, you can see why he has a history of turning to drugs!

I wish Pakistan would give us a game when they are batting. Our bowlers need a better workout before the ashes. I worry that this series is making our bowlers think they are better than what they are. We all know English bowlers are great when it swings (arent most world class seam bowlers, Amir and asif are not doing bad too). But i worry about Anderson when it does not swing as he has not been great when it is flat. I worry about Broad because i feel the Aussies will wind him up and get under his skin. I worry about Finns lack of experience against proper batting attacks. I would even like Swann to get more overs under his belt. I just feel the Pakistan batting attack is giving our bowlers a false sense of how good they actually are. Couple this to our long batting card that struggles to put together regular 100s and iam nervous about the Ashes. I know they can only play against who they are put against but i wish the intesity was a lot higher in light of the winter tour coming up. I hope iam proved wrong.

Alternatively confidence will be sky high and winning is a nice habit to have

I'd rather go on an Ashes tour having won all 6 test matches over the summer then taken a humping from India or South Africa!!!

Confidence yes, but this has been too easy for our bowlers especially at times (which is not there fault i know). Just would have like a bit more of a test for Finn and Broad.

Finally a pair of Pakistani batsmen show a bit of backbone instead of just tossing away their wickets.

It has to be a concern the way England have bowled to them though, and how easily Broad got riled.

Blimey, it's going to day 4.

Pakistan 112 ahead with a wicket left, might have been a game if they'd fielded better.
