How is he messing him about?

There are quite wide spread rumours (they must be if I've heard them!) about him moving on. If he does it's absolutley imperative that we replace him with better, as good as Hodgson is, and he's been fantastic for his first full season as an SL player, Fisher is still far and away our best player defensively around the ruck.

Talk at the end of last season was that Morgan fell out with Fisher for not sticking to the game plan and Fisher went off in a sulk. I was only saying on Sunday that Fisher doesn't seem to scoot out of dummy half anywhere near as much as he used to (which used to be good value for at least one penalty per game) which I can only think is down to team orders.

At least 8 Home grown players for 2011 - any player still under 21 and/or has completed 3 years service with the same clubs academy set up. Not sure if Murrell and Lovegrove spent 3 years as academy players. Welham did, as have Taylor and the Latus brothers plus Watts, Mariano and Beaumont.

Contractual issues i believe. He wont play first grade again this year.

Has he played more than 5 games yet this year? Understand there are often issues with players first 1st team contracts when there is a bonus after so many games played. Could it be that?

They didn't. Lovegrove certainly has a dispensation, not sure about Murrell. The system is so convoluted I haven't been able to work it out indirectly.

strange rule that, I may be wrong but does this mean if you join a club at 15, break into the 1st team at 17 you wouldn;t be homegrown as you only had 2 years at academy level? if this is the case then doesn't this stifle development?

IMO, any young player coming into Super League should be used sparingly if possible ( injuries permitting) and not burnt out before having had a chance.
