If there is no sign up on the stand saying you must be seated at ALL TIMES, or isn't announced over the PA system before the game, then it isn't obviously a rule, not to mention there's a quote over on the Cas board of someone saying the stewards weren't even sure if they were allowed to stand or not.

The stewards are allowed to stand. It's an integral part of stewarding. There have been experiments but they found that ejecting unruly elements was being unduly compromised by the stewards having to shuffle around on their bums.

standing or sitting being abusive to the extent where kids are getting upset could cause more prolems than there was, only takes one dad to take the law into his own hand etc. (like i said all teams have em) glad nothing came of it and can we just drop the debate about standing or sitting, if you sit or stand and its irrelevant if you are causing trouble with your mouth. still wrong, as usual the stewards get blamed, not saying their perfect but i saw kids held away from the scene by parents and thats not good at a family sport

We had this last year, We paid £20 to go in a stand we were told we had to sit in as it wasnt safe to stand up, thats what was been said by your stewards.
Sorry, but who goes to a seating stadium and sits down all game, I can guarantee every club has some fans who just dont, Any football fan would stand up etc...
At the end of the day, the cas fans knew the head steward, and eventually he didnt mind us standing as long as no trouble was caused, And it wasnt.
Were not the hooligans everyone thinks, We go for a good time, And barring 1 dispute with a Cas and Hull Kr fan, nothing was wrong today, A superb match, Of which neither side deserved to lose, Watched by 2 good sets of fans, End of
