He's got nothing to do with Mason signing.
The point is, if the signing happened, Bailey, although been a perfectly adequate (formerly very good) player, is nothing we havent already got, he brings nothing new to the table, will not attract any new interest or supporters, and we will be using valuable cap space to obtain this..not to mention giving plenty of ammuntion to the already many critics who feel Rovers are driving holes through the overseas players regulations..and for what..? Bailey will not make the difference between winning something and not, neither would Green..but both players salaries combined on a genuine top class player might and would bring all the other benefits with it..
If this happens it has Baileys good buddy Newton all over it...does nothing to further the long term development of the club though...how many 30 year old Aussies do we need..???
