do i think he wud be a gud signing yes and no gotta ask yourself how much more as he got in the tank to give no disrespect to FC but fitzy on his day world class as is o meley and long but were ave they bin most of the season, in the stands watching the team, we don't want that wud rather spend it on a quality 6 which morgs as alrready said they ave two overseas on the radar, think we could pay well over the odds for Mason just like FC did for long.. but then on the flip side it would be exciting to have one of the most hated players in our team make other teams sit up and take notice that we are serious contenders...
How do you know Mason would be more expensive than Webster?

Yeah fair dues but you know what I mean don't you - loads of times in the past we've been linked with big stars just as passes and/or shirts went on sale.
Be great publicity etc signing him, but personally I'd rather use the cash to keep bringing young players through, but if we sign him then fair enough.

He's past his best certainly but his best was pretty top drawer so on playing ability alone it's worth it. Temperament, I'm not sure, for me, what you want from your senior players is for them to have a positive effect right throughout the club from pushing other first teamers in training to inspiring the youngsters. Mark O'Neil was this type of player, admittedly no where near as good as Mason in terms of ability, but when I look at Mason I just see a big thicko who'll be nothing but trouble. Not for me.
Also, if what you say is true about Fisher to Wakey then we need to sign a front line hooker who's better than him.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
